University of Rhode Island’s Center for Nonviolence and Peace Studies

Rev. Melony McGant,  aka  Miss  Mellie  Rainbow,  is  a  storyteller,  thought  leader,  humanist, poet and compassionate communications professional with over 30 years of experience assisting people and organizations to  discover and promote  their  professional  or  personal  life  missions.

Her  latest  book project  was  GOOD  IS POWERFUL BEYOND MEASURE: An Anthology of Hope! It is a legacy and bridgebuilding anthology that encompasses  the  writing  of  more  than  100  people  from  diverse  backgrounds.

Melony is a Certified Level  I Trainer in Kingian  Nonviolence  from  the  University  of  Rhode  Island’s  Center  for Nonviolence and Peace Studies. She will discuss how embracing goodness brings peace, followed by her new book signing.

The URI Center for Nonviolence  and  Peace  Studies  organizes  educational programs,  training  workshops,  documentary  films,  and  guest  lecture  series  to promote nonviolence, inner peace, well-being, human rights, and a beloved global community.
